Kosovo Chamber of Mines Welcomes Ausenco as Corporate Member; CEO Zimi Meka Appointed Special Advisor to the Board
PRISTINA, KOSOVO / 06 May 2026 / The Kosovo Chamber of Mines is pleased to announce that Ausenco, a global leader in engineering and project delivery services for the resource sector, has officially joined the Chamber as a Corporate Member. In a significant step toward strengthening the organization’s strategic leadership, Zimi Meka, co-founder and CEO of Ausenco, has also been appointed as a Special Advisor to the Board of the Kosovo Chamber of Mines.
As a Corporate Member, Ausenco brings more than 30 years of international expertise in the design and construction of sustainable, high-efficiency mineral processing facilities. Its inclusion aligns with the Chamber’s mission to modernize Kosovo’s mining sector and position the country as a leading destination for critical minerals and energy transition materials in Southeast Europe.

Zimi Meka, an internationally recognized engineer and member of the Engineers Australia Hall of Fame, brings extensive expertise to his new role as Special Advisor. With a career spanning more than 35 years, Mr. Meka has overseen the growth of Ausenco into a global organization with projects in 86 countries. In his advisory role, he will provide strategic guidance on project feasibility, international investment attraction, and the implementation of advanced mining technologies in Kosovo.
